What's in Your Account?

How much savings do you have in your marital bank account?  I'm not talking about money. I'm not trying to get personal information.  In fact, I bet you aren't even sure exactly what the account looks like.  That's okay.  Let me help you get a better picture.  It just takes a couple quick questions to figure it out.

What kind of wife do you really want to be to your spouse?  Get really specific when you answer this question.  If your initial answer is "loyal", describe in detail what you would do, say or think to maintain your loyalty on a daily basis.

Now, I want you to think about how you act, speak to or think about your husband during a typical day.

After you have made your lists, put them side by side and see if they match up.  If they do, you are living for the life you genuinely want, not just what you feel like doing in the moment.

It can be so easy to confuse how we feel in the moment with what we want long term.  In fact, on the hardest days, it can seem almost impossible to push past how we "feel" and act according to our highest goals.

This is one of the best ways to feel in control and intentional about building the relationships that we long for.  As we acknowledge that something is difficult for us to do because we don't "feel" like it, yet do it anyway for the benefit of our relationship and our own happiness, we make a deposit into our marital bank account.

Have you been making enough deposits into your account to cover all of the withdrawals?

Contact me here for help to push past how you are feeling right now and accomplish your highest relationship goals.
